Si vienes a Campeche, necesitas conocer "El Chile Gordo" Cinthya y Óscar no solo te llevan a una experiencia mágica culinaria, sino te abren las puertas de su hermosa casa donde vivirás una de las mejores experiencias de tu vida, probaras platillos de varias partes del país (norte, sur, centro) y beberás cocteles que combinan a la perfección con cada uno de ellos... Cuidan con mucho amor y dedicación cada detalle para que tú disfrutes de la velada, describir cada plato que probé y bebida que tome, se quedaría corto, VEN Y CONÓCELOS!! Bienvenidos a Campeche "El Chile gordo" Mi historia con ustedes, continuará ... Encontrar El Chile Gordo fue una un broche de oro para nuestras vacaciones en Campeche! El menú es un paseo por la historia y la geografía del país – algunos platos que ya conocemos, pero en El Chile Gordo con una intensidad de sabor mayor, (entre ellos el mole), y otros platos que descubrimos allí. Un viaje gastronomico Una hermosa y deliciosa experiencia gastronomíca de 3 horas atravez de historia de México.Comenzamos con platillos prehispanicos y terminamos con un mole madre con camarón gigante que fue simplemente mágico. A Culinary Jewel in Campeche This magical place in Barrio San Francisco should be high on everyone’s list of things to do in Campeche. We went for the multi-course tasting menu and had one of the most memorable and delicious evenings we’ve had. Ever. Anywhere. Oscar and Kathy welcome their guests into the colonial home and garden they’re renovating with openess, generosity, real talent and a contagious love for what they do. His cuisine, her mixology, and a parade of beautiful local and home-grown ingredients make for a gorgeous meal. SO many highlights: a crisp octopus aguachile with mango-pitaya nieve; the deeply satisfying salbute de jabali; the most delicious tacito al pastor this little piggie has ever had; and my personal favorite the sopa de piedra cooked tableside with volcanic rocks—so simple you can almost taste the Oaxacan rivers that made this a world heritage dish. We didn’t want to leave. And this morning we started the day with the little pot of Mango mermelada they gave us. Made from their backyard mangoes, it is seriously delicious. An amazing dining experience We're seasoned travellers, always looking for unique culinary experiences. Enter El Chile Gordo - easily our best restaurant discovery across the Yucatan peninsula. The tasting menu moves through time — you genuinely feel the history of Mexican food unfolding across the table. The mole madre was sensational (we've never had a mole this good).
