Un viaje gastronomico Una hermosa y deliciosa experiencia gastronomíca de 3 horas atravez de historia de México.Comenzamos con platillos prehispanicos y terminamos con un mole madre con camarón gigante que fue simplemente mágico. Tienen capacidad para 5 personas en total y compartimos la mesa con una pareja super amble. En resumen,una noche inolvidable.

A Culinary Jewel in Campeche This magical place in Barrio San Francisco should be high on everyone’s list of things to do in Campeche. We went for the multi-course tasting menu and had one of the most memorable and delicious evenings we’ve had. Ever. Anywhere. Oscar and Kathy welcome their guests into the colonial home and garden they’re renovating with openess, generosity, real talent and a contagious love for what they do. His cuisine, her mixology, and a parade of beautiful local and home-grown ingredients make for a gorgeous meal. SO many highlights: a crisp octopus aguachile with mango-pitaya nieve; the deeply satisfying salbute de jabali; the most delicious tacito al pastor this little piggie has ever had; and my personal favorite the sopa de piedra cooked tableside with volcanic rocks—so simple you can almost taste the Oaxacan rivers that made this a world heritage dish. We didn’t want to leave. And this morning we started the day with the little pot of Mango mermelada they gave us. Made from their backyard mangoes, it is seriously delicious. Left me wondering what would the world be like if all interactions were this thoughtful and personal.

An amazing dining experience We're seasoned travellers, always looking for unique culinary experiences. Enter El Chile Gordo - easily our best restaurant discovery across the Yucatan peninsula. The tasting menu moves through time — you genuinely feel the history of Mexican food unfolding across the table. The mole madre was sensational (we've never had a mole this good). Book ahead, there are only five seats and anyone serious about food would be a fool to miss out on this little gem!

El Chili Gordo Genuinely one of the best meals I've had in Mexico! The tasting menu was all amazing but my favourite was the recado negro with wild boar. The intimate setting — colonial Campeche, private table — makes the evening unforgettable.

Excelente menú gastronómico y atención El Chile Gordo es una joya rebosante de encanto rústico y sabores auténticos de todo México. El menú es delicioso y me expuso a sabores que no habia probado en ningún lado. Los anfitriones son amables y atentos, haciéndote sentir más como un amigo en su cocina que un cliente. El Chile Gordo es una visita obligada. Una experiencia verdaderamente única y especial que siempre recordaré.

Mexican cuisine experience This is one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Not only was every dishamazing but the overall experience and presentation of Mexican cuisine and culture was truly wonderful. All of us loved it! Thank you for a fantastic evening! We will be back for sure!

Amazing place - highly recommended! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and couldn't have chosen better. Very unique experience - really special…and even more so as I’m pescatarian and it’s not so easy to find a variety of Mexican dishes adapted for pescatarians. My husband said the smoked meats were to die for. We'll remember this night for a long long time!
