How to Reserve:

Before booking an evening in the restaurant, we invite you to take a look at the different options.

Tasting Menus for 1 to 6 people

  • Exclusive Chef’s Table: There is only ONE TABLE in the restaurant.
  • Seating Times: 3:00pm or 7:00pm and runs for approximately 3 hours.
  • Group Sizes & Exclusivity: Parties of 4+ guests automatically receive exclusive use of the entire restaurant. For smaller groups of 1 to 3 guests, seating is shared with fellow food enthusiasts (though you can opt to upgrade to private dining).

Private Events for larger groups

The same flavours with a party atmosphere. Exclusive use of the restaurant, bar and lounge for 7-20 people, allowing all guests to mingle easily whilst enjoying the signature flavours of El Chile Gordo.

Young children

We love welcoming families into El Chile Gordo; however, we want the experience to be exceptional for everyone. Due to the intimate nature of our shared table, we recommend private dining for anyone with a child under the age of 8.

Pets

As we have an open kitchen-dining area, for health and hygiene reasons, we are unable to admit dogs into the restaurant.

Deposits

To guarantee reservations, we ask for a 50% deposit (Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, Bank Transfer, or OXXO).

Punctual Arrival

For the shared dining experience, punctuality is essential. Delays affect the flow for other guests. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may be unable to serve you, and your deposit will be retained.

Cancellation Policy

With only one table, cancellations significantly impact us. Our policy is as follows:

  • With 7+ Days Notice: 100% refund (minus bank/transaction fees).
  • Within 7 Days: Deposit may be retained, depending on circumstances.
  • Within 48 hours: Deposits are non-refundable
