An evening in El Chile Gordo is not just an evening meal; it’s a complete sensory experience.
We take you on a culinary tour of Mexico, providing a detailed explanation of every dish and its ingredients. During the evening, you’ll discover the hidden corners of our colonial casona, specially designed for this unique dining experience: our welcoming gallery, the restored bar, the traditional outdoor smokehouse (weather permitting), and finally, the heart of the home: the kitchen-dining room. Here, you’ll take your seat at the Chef’s Table while Oscar works his magic.
What You Need To Know:
- BY RESERVATION ONLY
- A Single Chef’s Table: We feature only ONE TABLE in the restaurant. This is the Chef’s Table, integrated directly into the kitchen.
- Intimate Groups: We welcome two or three small groups (maximum 5 people total) who share the Chef’s table. Alternatively, for a group of 4 to 6 people, you will have the restaurant exclusively for yourselves. We cannot accommodate groups larger than 6 people.
- Timing: The experience begins promptly at 7:00 PM and lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours.
- The Menu: At the center of this unique culinary experience is our set tasting MENU – We do not offer an à la carte service.
Young Children (Under 8)
We love welcoming families into our home; however, we want the experience to be exceptional for everyone. Due to the intimate nature of our shared table, we recommend that families with children under the age of 8 book the dinner as a private experience.
Pets
As we have an open kitchen integrated into the dining area, for health and hygiene reasons, we are unable to admit dogs into the restaurant.
